Austin's Surgery

Well today was the big day that Austin got his Tonsils and Adenoids out. He was such a good sport.

We arrived at the hospital around 6:30am and to our amazement while we were walking to the door there were 2 beautiful deer standing in the parking lot. It's almost like they were there to cheer Austin on. It was pretty cool.

After they loaded him up on meds they wheeled him away and the tears started to fall. He cried for his mommy. Surgery took about 10 minutes i swear. The Dr. said everything went perfect. I was so happy to hear that.

So now we are just laying low..he is resting and enjoying being pampered.
Thank you all for your love and prayers we totally appreciate them!!!!

Love you all!

So comes Fall......

Wow, i just can't believe that tomorrow is the first day of fall....and where was summer???? Time has honestly just flown by. I guess now it's time for a little update on the Family. The boys have all started school. Austin is in 2nd Grade and has Mrs. Lamaack. Ethan is in 1st grade and has Mrs. Anderson as his teacher. Then Hunter has started his first year of Sunshine Preschool and has "Teacher Jen" as his teacher. They all seem to love school!!

Jason had his annual bear hunting trip and unfortunately no bear. Better luck next year.

O
n Sept. 6th we celebrated Hunters and Abrielles Birthdays. Hunter turned 4 and Abby turned 1.

Coming up Sept 29th Austin will be having surgery to remove his tonsils. If you could keep us in your prayers that day i would be so thankful. He is very worried about it. I keep
telling him everything is going to be okay..but i know it's hard to understand that at 7 years old. Other than that we have just been keeping busy. I have included pictures and a Bear Video that Jason got on his camera. Hope everybody is doing well!!!

Vacation to the North Shore

Took a quick weekend getaway to Grand Marais. It's Bear Hunting time again so Hunter Abrielle and I went to help bait bear. I was looking for this getaway for quite some time. Needed some R&R.
Well, we left Windom around 6am. Only 3 hours than orginally planned. We arrived in Grand Marais about 3. Made pretty good timing. The kids were awesome on the trip. I was so excited just to lay down and rest before we journeyed out on the town. So, Jason goes in to check in and to my suprise they give us this room that is seperate from the main "hotel" it's like another different hotel called "Sprucewood Inn" It was the most dirtiest disgusting room i have ever been in my life. It was dusty, moldy, and just plain GROSS!!! Plus it was a king size bed and no room for a crib...it was just a mess. If it was just Jason and I...i probably wouldn't have cared so much..but the fact that we had kids the mold smell was out of this world........................................ Picture of the room....

There was no way i was staying there. I would rather stay in Jason's Family Cabin with no running water or electricity before i would stay in this dump. The only reason we chose this hotel is so we could use the pool for swimming..but the pool is in the Aspen Lodge Hotel where we orgininally thought we were staying. So, Jason goes back up to the main desk and complains. So, we were moved to the "Aspen Lodge" Hotel near the pool..hooray!!

our new room! and of course you have Hunter jumpin on the bed lol

Well, we settled in our room and decided to hit the town for some supper. We walked to Ole and Sven's Pizza Place. I have to say it was the BEST pizza i have ever had in my life! It was soooooooo good!!!!!! We celebrated Hunter's Birthday. Then we headed back to the hotel for some Viking Football and called it a night.

Saturday Morning Jason headed out to Bait his Bear. Hunter, Abby and I took a stroll down to the Harbor. It was around 9am it was soo beautiful. The weather was so nice and Lake Superior was amazing! We loved watching the seagulls and the Geese. They were sure looking for some food. Although we didn't have any alot of other people did so it was cool watching them being fed. Hunter just liked chasing after them. He had a blast. Then we walked down to all the different shops they had and bought some souveniers for the boys. It was just a lovely day. I could have sat by that lake forever, or "pond" as Hunter refers to it.

Saturday night we ate at the Blue Water Cafe. The waitress just loved Hunter and spoiled him rotten. Saturday night we rested for a long drive Sunday Morning! We left Grand Marais about 10am and finally got home around 6. I was so excited to be home. It's nice to get away..but always nice to come back home. Now Jason gets to go again this Friday and Hunt his bear. I wish him the best of Luck...but also a little jealous i would like to go back up there too....

Moving Day!

Saturday we helped my dad and step-mom move from City life in Duluth to Country living in Gibbon. I am just so excited to have them closer. Instead of a 6 hour drive it's only an hour. Needless to say i didn't help out to much yesterday because of Abrielle getting into everything but Jason worked hard. I just enjoyed taking pictures of their lovely home. It actually reminds me of the Brady Bunch home from the outside.

Front View

Living Room upstairs

Dining Room

Kitchen...the first on their to do list is updating the kitchen. They have new appliances ordered..and laying Ceramic Tile. I agree this kitchen is a tad outdated.

Hallway to 3 bedrooms and a full Bath

Basement...is HUGE!!!

Fireplace that has never been used

This is a picture from a room in the basement that my dad is going to use as a woodworking shop..but as i look at it.I call it my ghostly picture..just seem like spirits are in the picture...call me crazy..

Now isn't this a kodak Moment. As the boys were bringing the Fridge downstairs they realized they have to take the handrail off before it will go down. So here is Jason and John holding on to the fridge while my dad takes off the handrail.......

Hunter Waving down the Fire Truck. They were giving rides around town.

Me sporting my new Sunglasses Jason's sisters helped me pick out the night before..i know i am a "Rockstar" HA
